Our Story

In 1995, the World Wide Web was in its infancy. Y2K or “The Millennium Bug” was barely on the horizon and awareness of it and its potential to cause disruption had yet to enter the public consciousness. For Phil Keet, however, the threat was clear. Working for a UK based Investment Bank for whom technology was business critical, he recognised that the finance systems in use at the time were unlikely to be able to successfully handle the impending digital change as clocks switched from 1999 to 2000. Being acutely aware that a serious crisis was looming, Phil established Millennium Consulting and focussed upon helping clients overcome the challenge.

The Y2K threat meant that organisations could either re-programme existing software systems to handle the date change or alternatively switch to new Y2K compliant software. Phil assembled teams of ERP change specialists to advise and help clients upgrade or transition to Millennium compliant software.

The global economy emerged relatively unscathed when 2000 arrived, thanks in part to the extensive work carried out by organisations to avoid the danger. Demand for Millennium’s skilled ERP specialists peaked during this period as the rush to beat the immovable deadline imposed its own discipline on corporate IT departments.

22 years later and Millennium Consulting is now a leading Global Management Consultancy that provides strategic advice and delivery services to support the deployment of new corporate technology. Operating under two unique brands, Millennium Affine (specialising in regulatory technology solutions for the banking, insurance and telecommunications sectors) and Millennium Consulting (specialising in Unit 4 Financials, SunSystems and Oracle JD Edwards), we deploy world-class operational, financial and analytical systems on behalf of many of the world's leading organisations.

Working with a partner network across the globe, we provide end to end software deployment services, including strategic advice, requirements gathering, system selection through to configuration, knowledge transfer, roll-out and post go-live support.

Our primary focus concerns technology deployment but we recognise that client engagement skills are as important as technical knowledge. Our teams have highly developed communication skills, the ability to establish collaborative partnerships with sponsors, stake-holders and key users, a pro-active client-driven outlook and the ability to deliver appropriate solutions.
